Pennell Street Office Building Will Be The New Headquarters for the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors®

FALLS CHURCH, VA-
Falls Church-based general contractor L.F. Jennings, Inc. has started construction on another quality office building in Fairfax, Virginia. The Pennell Street office building will soon be the new headquarters of the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors®.
The Northern Virginia Association of Realtors® is the owner, Dewberry is the developer and Advanced Project Management, Inc, is the construction manager for the Pennell Street office building.
PSA Dewberry of Fairfax designed the three-story building with the goal of qualifying for the LEED Silver certification. The 24,877 SF building combines classic style with cutting edge, environmentally friendly features. All materials used are recycled products, including the roof material. Ecostar shingle roofing gives the appearance of slate and the “green” roofing system will retain and filter rain water.
The green-compliant design continues inside with showers available for those commuting via bicycle. L.F. Jennings is performing the full-tenant fitout in addition to the shell building construction. Wood paneling, granite flooring and other high-end finishes add refined appeal. Unique features include three aluminum pergolas accenting the building entrances. An open atrium leading from the two-level, 23,551 SF parking garage to the main building adds brightness and current style to the structure.
L.F. Jennings will be managing all site work associated with the project. Amenities include an outdoor plaza with numerous benches, a sitting wall and bike racks. Landscaping is carefully planned with optimum use of space and ecologically sound
plantings.
Work on this project began in April, 2009 with completion scheduled for March, 2010.
