L.F. Jennings Breaking Ground at The Corner at Short Pump

RICHMOND, VA -

General contractor L.F. Jennings, Inc. has begun sitework at what is going to be Richmond’s newest shopping destination. The Corner at Short Pump will soon be featuring popular retailers and restaurants.   Located at 11801 W. Broad Street, “This site is prime real estate in the heart of Short Pump.” according to L.F. Jennings project manager Frank Martino.

The owner of the project is W2005 WRL Realty, LLC C/O Archon Group with construction management by The Rebkee Company.

Designed by Bignell Watkins Hasser Architects, this center will feature an 86,000 SF gourmet Kroger store. This high end store will offer organic foods, a distinctive wine selection with an on-site wine steward and many more epicurean options in a spacious, tasteful interior. The retail stores in The Corner at Short Pump will have four sided architecture featuring brick and EIFs facades. The site is extensively landscaped and will complement the neighboring residential areas. L.F. Jennings is under contract to perform the sitework for the project including all infrastructures. New signalization and a substantial extension of Three Chopt Road are also included in the work. 225,000 SF of sought after tenants will make this center the neighborhood destination for the residents of Short Pump and the surrounding area.

Construction on this project commenced July of 2009. Completion of the sitework for the project is scheduled for mid-April of 2010.
